Prostate Enlargement (BPH - benign prostatic hyperplasia) Often referred to as enlarged prostate, BPH is the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that occurs in almost all men as they age. In many men, this tissue growth eventually will obstruct the bladder outlet, causing difficulties with urination.
